Take a leap of faith.
Take a stab in the dark and see where it get’s you. Have a shot at goal. Go on have a shot. No one’s watching, no one’s judging and if they are watching, who cares? At least you had a go. You won’t know what you’re capable of, until you have a go. And then. Only then will you know what you’re truly capable of. Take a leap of faith, run, jump, slide, do whatever you need to do to get there, but just do something, for moving at snail pace is better than not moving at all. Don’t let fear control you, the owl said. Just do it!
The old, wise owl took a leap of faith and flew to the piano in one, soft, silent, swift manner, like a feather drifting though the wind, not a sound was made. Beautiful. What a beautiful bird. It perched itself on the black piano, before it heard the piano calling out to it. Play me! The piano said. Play me! But the owl didn’t respond. The owl was hesitant. The owl was cautious, The owl didn’t really listen to what the piano was trying to say, all because of fear. For what if the owl made a grave mistake while playing the piano? What if the owl didn’t like the sound the piano made? What if it was unfulfilling? What if it took a chance, made a bet, made an investment but didn’t receive anything in return? The fear of the unknown was blinding. What should the owl do about this? A big, beautiful instrument was sitting in front of it, arms open, telling the owl to play, to take a chance…
