Spinning a dark web.

The spider crawled down on its web. Slow, careful and delicate in it’s approach. It weaved a silk thread continuously creating a collection of different shapes. Each thread, each weaving was an intricate piece of a new puzzle. The spider had the intention of building stability and security for itself. Nothing less, nothing more. It thrived in situations where it could be precise, exact and logical. After all, it needed to be. It was a harsh world out there and the spider needed to have its defence mechanisms in place.

And although the spider was determined in it’s web-making, it simultaneously understood that at any moment, it’s web could be destroyed. Whether it be from wind or rain, or from more sinister things such as humans and birds, Its web would always be susceptible to harm.

But through it all, the determination of the spider was inspiring. It seemed that no matter what happened to its web, it would crawl back onto it’s leaf and begin rebuilding. That would be painful, but it would still continue rebuilding. A car could drive into it’s web and the spider would still crawl back with courage and resilience to build again. Other creatures were terrified by these qualities, for what could stop the spider from reaching it’s goals? Death. That’s all.

Along with determination, insects feared the spider because they never truly knew who the spider was…
