Don’t tell your secrets. Don’t give too much away. Don’t let them think you’re winning but don’t let them think you’re losing either. Don’t chase them, let them chase you. Don’t surrender to their questions and curiosity, instead keep their mind open. Keep them interested. Keep them guessing. Keep them wondering what you’ve hidden. For if they don’t know, you’ll have the upper hand. You’ll have them hooked. You’ll have them so far in that they won’t ever know the first step to get out. That’s when the most pain is inflicted, when it’s all too late and you’ve got one card left and no one else saw it coming. The game ends abruptly and it’s all over. You’ll drive them mad.
Make them believe one thing, while whispering another. Keep them on the edge of their seats, keep them wanting more. For if they want more, then give them more, give them everything they want and then, just when they think they have the answers, throw them off track. They’ll hate you for it, but all you want to do is win. You’re inviting, you’re exciting and you’re intimidating all wrapped into one. Who could stop you? I’m not sure.
